CUV40311 Certificate IV in Design (Interior Space):

Participants need to complete 15 units of competency, consisting of 7 core units plus 8 elective units.

  2. BSBDES305A Source and apply information on the history and theory of design
  3. BSBDES401A Generate design solutions
  4. BSBDES402A Interpret and respond to a design brief
  5. BSBOHS201A Participate in OHS processes
  6. CUVACD401A Integrate colour theory and design processes
  7. CUVPRP401A Realise a creative project

Elective Units

  1. LMFID4001A Research, analyse and apply colour for interior spaces
  2. LMFID4002A Decorate residential interiors
  3. LMFID4006A Research and recommend hard materials and finishes for interiors
  4. LMFID4007A Identify materials, construction techniques and methods used in building interiors
  5. LMFKB4003A Identify and document services required to support kitchen and bathroom designs Prepare quotation and contract documentation for design project
  6. LMFKB4006A Prepare quotation and contract documentation for design project
  7. LMFKB4007A Design ancillary residential cabinetry

No prior qualifications are required to enrol into this course.

Its required that you are:

  • 18 years of age or over
  • Competent in written and spoken English (language, literacy and numeracy will be assessed as part of the enrolment process)
  • Able to attend the scheduled classroom training sessions as per the timetable
  • Accessible to a computer and the internet for the duration of the course (BYOD participants only. Internet access is provided during class times, If students want to do homework and access the Learning Management System (LMS) outside of class times, internet access will be required)
